Track Quest, a new party card game inspired by the evolution of electronic music, is set to launch on Kickstarter later this April.
Created by Aulart, the Barcelona-based music education platform known for its masterclasses with influential artists such as Chris Liebing and Carl Craig, the project brings decades of dance music culture from the club environment straight to the tabletop.
Track Quest explores more than 60 years of electronic music history, beginning in the 1970s, when disco and krautrock helped shape the genre’s rhythmic identity and experimental direction. The gameplay challenges participants to arrange tracks in chronological order using short audio clips and helpful hint cards. Players can disrupt each other’s progress by blocking hints, stealing cards or activating countdown timers, keeping each round dynamic and unpredictable.

One of the Pro Mode hints references Daft Punk with the clue: “This French robotic duo famously never showed their faces, opting instead to wear high-tech helmets.” The game also includes 200 expansion cards, allowing players to tailor the experience to their preferred styles and build their own musical journey, similar to crafting a DJ set or playlist. Sub-genres featured include house, techno, drum & bass, trance, dubstep and mainstage EDM.
According to Aulart CEO Marc Marzenit, the concept was tested extensively alongside artists, producers and music industry professionals before being prepared for its crowdfunding debut.
