Australian house music star FISHER is adding a new achievement to his career after landing a voice acting role in Disney and Pixar’s upcoming animated film, “Toy Story 5.”

The globally recognized DJ and producer will voice a character named Garden Gnome for audiences in Australia and New Zealand. The character is part of a small group of forgotten toys living in an abandoned backyard shed, bringing FISHER’s signature energy and personality into the beloved franchise.
Speaking about the opportunity, FISHER expressed his excitement at becoming part of a series he and his family have enjoyed for years, saying he is especially looking forward to sharing the experience with his children.
The new film continues the story following the events of “Toy Story 4,” where Woody left Bonnie’s toy collection to embark on a new journey alongside Bo Peep. In “Toy Story 5,” Woody reunites with Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the rest of the gang as they face a challenge familiar to modern families: a smart tablet called Lilypad that threatens to take over Bonnie’s imagination.
The movie also sees the return of longtime franchise stars Tom Hanks and Tim Allen as Woody and Buzz Lightyear, alongside Joan Cusack as Jessie, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog and Tony Hale as Forky.
“Toy Story 5” is scheduled to premiere in cinemas across Australia and New Zealand on June 18, 2026, with FISHER becoming one of the latest music stars to make the leap from the stage to the big screen.
