A recent study suggests that listening to EDM may lead to more money in your pocket.
Conducted by IT services provider Electric, the study analyzed productivity playlists on streaming services and surveyed over 1,000 workers about their on-the-job streaming preferences. Results showed that on average, 16% of workers who listened to EDM while working were promoted and received a raise in the last year.
Notably, EDM rounds out the top five genres chosen for productivity, with fans turning to artists such as deadmau5, Daft Punk, and Emancipator for inspiration. The study also found that music is generally viewed as a positive addition to the workplace, with 80% of respondents reporting that it enhances their productivity.
