Michael Bibi electrified Coachella 2024 with a standout performance on the festival’s newly introduced Quasar stage this past weekend
Michael Bibi shared his journey from diagnosis to stage comeback: “One year ago, a brain tumor was discovered at the center of my brain. Today, I’m gearing up to return to the passion and career I deeply missed… Your overwhelming support and positive vibes have carried me through this ordeal, and it’s time I give back through the music I love. It feels surreal, but it’s truly happening!”

Celebrating his return to the music scene and his victory over cancer, the British DJ and producer delivered a memorable two-hour set during sunset on Saturday, surrounded by loved ones.
Last year, at the age of 33, Bibi was diagnosed with CNS Lymphoma, an uncommon cancer affecting the brain and spinal cord. Following six months of rigorous treatment, the head of Solid Grooves announced his remission at the end of 2023, with further tests in March confirming he was cancer-free.

The Quasar stage, curated by Coachella’s promoter Goldenvoice, showcased extended DJ sets from a stellar lineup including Honey Dijon b2b Green Velvet, Carlita, Jamie xx, Floating Points and Daphni on the festival’s opening weekend (April 12th-14th). The following weekend (April 19th-21st) promises even more electrifying performances with acts like RÜFÜS DU SOL, Eric Prydz b2b Anyma, and Diplo b2b Mau P taking the stage.
Michael Bibi’s now set to embark on his “One Life” World Tour, a tour celebrating resilience, music and the human spirit, starting this summer. A highlight of the tour will be a major event at Finsbury Park in July, where a portion of the proceeds will benefit The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
