New Electronic Music Venue ORIGIN to Open in Downtown Los Angeles

Los Angeles’ electronic music scene is set to welcome a major new venue with the opening of ORIGIN, an independent club scheduled to launch in the city’s Arts District in late summer or early fall 2026.

Designed around a “music-first” philosophy, ORIGIN aims to offer a fresh alternative in Downtown LA, a nightlife market that has long been dominated by Exchange LA. The new venue will feature both a cutting-edge indoor event space and a spacious outdoor patio, creating a versatile setting for electronic music events, cultural experiences and promoter-led showcases.

ORIGIN will be located at 613 Imperial Street, the former home of LOT 613, a well-known warehouse venue recognized for hosting live performances, club nights and art-focused events over the years.

The project is led by Roni Mehrabian and Cyril Bitar, founders of the Los Angeles nightlife brands SBCLTR and Minimal Effort. Their portfolio includes popular event series such as LABRYINTO, Brunch Electronik, The Maze, FLOAT and Resolutions, giving the new venue strong roots within the city’s house and techno community.

A major focus for ORIGIN will be its sound and production quality. The venue’s design is being overseen by Marc Dizon, whose previous work includes renowned nightlife destinations such as Brooklyn Mirage, Output, Hakkasan and Sound Nightclub. ORIGIN will also feature a custom-designed KV2 Audio sound system tailored specifically for its indoor space, while a dedicated outdoor system will power open-air events.

With its combination of modern design, high-end production and experienced founders, ORIGIN is expected to become one of Downtown Los Angeles’ most significant new destinations for electronic music fans.
