Tomorrowland organizers are asking for the return of a painting stolen during the festival’s opening weekend after another artwork taken in the same incident was anonymously returned.
The missing pieces, titled “Love” and “Desire,” were part of a specially commissioned collection of six paintings displayed inside the Tomorrowland Restaurant. The exhibition was created to reflect the festival’s 2026 theme, “Consciencia,” with each artwork representing a different universal emotion.
Despite security measures around the exhibition, both paintings disappeared during the first weekend of the festival. Following a public appeal from Tomorrowland, one of the works, “Love,” was returned by a couple to the Lab of Tomorrow, a creative workshop linked to the festival in Boom, Belgium. However, “Desire” remains missing.

Tomorrowland spokesperson Debby Wilmsen thanked those who returned the first painting while expressing hope that the remaining artwork would also be brought back, allowing visitors attending the festival’s second weekend to enjoy the complete collection.
The other four paintings in the series—“Wonder,” “Anger,” “Joy,” and “Sadness”—continue to be exhibited as originally planned.
