Music legend Paul McCartney has revealed that he used artificial intelligence technology to create the final Beatles song. Through this AI, McCartney’s team was able to extract John Lennon’s voice from a demo, and the finished track will be released this year.
Fans believe the song is most likely a 1978 Lennon composition called Now and Then.
The concept of using AI came from Peter Jackson’s documentary The Beatles: Get Back, where dialogue editor Emile de la Rey was able to use AI to separate the band members’ voices from background noise, creating clean audio from old footage. Although McCartney expressed concern over the potential misuse of AI, he also saw its exciting potential for the future.
