Swedish House Mafia has once again captured the spotlight by collaborating with acclaimed producer Francis Mercier on a thrilling remix of their latest hit, “Lioness,” featuring Niki & The Dove.
Originally unveiled this summer to high expectations and some delays, “Lioness” was poised to be a highlight on the much-awaited follow-up to Swedish House Mafia’s 2022 debut album, “Paradise Again.” Fans have been eagerly anticipating the trio’s next big project, which faced its own set of delays with a release initially slated for 2023. Now, a tantalizing hint dropped in a recent Instagram post by the group suggests an exciting announcement could drop later this week.
2024 has been a landmark year for Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso, marking their first official group single release with “Lioness.” Last year, the trio captivated audiences with their live debut of “Not Yesterday,” and dropped chart-toppers like “Ray Of Solar” with remixes from notable names like Tiësto, Anfisa Letyago, and Mau P, as well as “See The Light” featuring Fridayy.
The group has also been a major presence on the festival scene this summer, making a notable return to Tomorrowland for the first time in over a decade. Their six-week residency at Ushuaïa, Ibiza concluded recently, featuring a lineup of guest performances from Overmono, Jaguar, Arielle Free, and Salvatore Ganacci, further solidifying their status as electronic music royalty.
